At the upcoming Apeldoorn Conference 'Making Successful Cities' (http://www.britishcouncil.org/netherlands-networks-apeldoorn.htm ), Roy  and David Barrie (http://davidbarrie.typepad.com/) will be giving workshops on Urban Creativity.

The Apeldoorn Conference is an annual UK-Dutch conference, initiated by Wim Kok and Tony Blair and organized by the British Council. This year's conference will be held in Rotterdam, from March 6-8.

Students of Branding at the Economic Faculty of HAN University of Applied Sciences in Arnhem, The Netherlands, do citybranding research and make branding propositions for cities and regions.

As a senior lecturer Creative Cities Roy and the faculty team coach the students. The aim is to build up an area of expertise in urban brand identities and urban storytelling. Contact Roy if your city is interested

'All innovation begins with a creative conversation', the British innovation thinker and writer Charles Leadbeater concluded in his book We-Think. For urban renewal and development this means that a successful process of transformation should start with the right conversation.
